I was born in the middle of the last century in Los Angeles, California. After retiring early from programming, I began writing books, self-publishing on Amazon and recording training videos for Udemy. I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada, with my lovely wife and Butterscotch the cat.
I took your excellent course on Vella. You said to send questions to you. My question is,
Does one plot a Vella using the 3-Act plot technique? I know each episode should have a structure but should I plot the entire story using the standard 3-Act structure?
If not, what structure should I use?
Do you have a more in-depth course on structuring and writing the Vella?
Charles,
Thanks for getting in touch. You can also reach me a brianjjaxn@gmail.com.
I’ve just written my Vella stories with little plotting. I find that they’re rambling stories that will potentially never end (keep the readers reading).
Each Vella episode should end with a cliffhanger to get the reader to purchase the next episode.
I find that my Vella stories have less structure than my books. I just write like the wind.
I have yet to produce a more detailed course on writing, but I’m thinking about it.
I hope this helps,
—Brian
